Bryce Canyon 5K
On July 18th was the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon and 5k. I had wanted to do this run since about December because I had heard about how fun it was from people who ran last year. Trent & I decided we would go camping this same weekend at Ruby's Inn and have a little getaway.

Tour de St. George
On Saturday, March 28th was the Tour de St. George bike ride. This was my first ride and Trent's second. Mark, Teresa's husband, his friend Richard and wife, Billy Jo also rode with us. I ended up riding the 30 mile ride, Trent did the 65 mile ride and everyone else did the century (100 miles).
It was a great time! Turns out I was the first female to finish the 30 mile ride which was pretty cool. Trent was able to complete the 65 in about 5 hours and everyone else was about 7 and a half.
It was so fun to start with such a huge crowd of people. It was close to about 300 riders. These rides are definitly addicting, so there will be many more to come.

Taran's Soccer Games
This past weekend, Trent's nephew, Taran, was in St. George for some pre-season soccer games with his team. (Bingham High School). We were able to go and watch his game against Snow Canyon High School and Dixie High School.
He has really become a great 'keeper'! Trent is definitly a proud uncle.

Trent's First Ride
On Saturday February 28th Trent entered into his first road race. He decided to sign up for the 50 mile ride. The day of the race I drove him to the start location and sent him on his way. It was amazing to see so many riders in one location. There was every kind of rider possible as well - first timers, weekend warriors, pro and semi-pro.
After about 2 hours, I met up with him at what I thought would have been the half way point. Once I was able to find him and give him some more water and energy bars. He then headed his way back to finish out the ride.
Trent's parents and myself met him at the finish line to cheer him on. After he was done, he looked at his GPS and realized that he didn't go 50 miles...he went 58. Turns out the course was not marked well at all and he ended up passing his designated turn around point. I thought 50 miles was impressive, never mind 58!
Overall it was great to see him participate in such a fun event! PS, If his photo looks like he was in some pain...he was. He was a bit sore.

Monkey Quilt
I wanted to share some pictures of my latest quilt that I made for my dear friend Kelly. She just had her third baby - Beck Robert Patrick Healey - and I wanted to make something for her that represented her style, yet would be something that Baby Beck could use past his baby years. I had a great time making this quilt! It turned out better than I expected.
