Camping in Colorado
June 26-July our family went camping in Montrose Colorado. Those who came were: Todd, Mary, Greg, Madi, Troy, Pam, Lauren, Logan, David, RoseMarie, Trent and Nichole. We stayed at a campground on the western slope of the Rockies called Pleasant Valley.
During our time there, we were able to relax and enjoy one anothers' company as well as some recreational activities. On Saturday, Todd & Troy took their bikes out for a ride to the Black Canyon National Park (about 18 miles from the campsite). The girls (Pam, Mary, Madi and myself) were driven by Trent to the National Park to meet the boys. Once they arrived the six of us went out on a 9 mile bike ride around the park.
On Sunday we all went for a picnic down in the base of the Black Canyon. The boys took their fishing rods and after lunch went down the river to test out their fishing skills. Unfortunately they were unsucessfull in catching anything.
Monday was another relaxing day. The boys decided to try fishing one last time. However, they were still unable to catch any fish.
In all it was a very relaxing vacation full of good times with family.

Frisky
Sunday June 1, 2008 was a very sad day for the Owen family.
Our little Frisky passed away. She was 12 years and 11 months old. Her little body finally gave out on her and she began to suffer. Mom and Dad decided that the best thing to do was to take her to the vet, and allow her to pass on, rather then suffer through the day.
Frisky was such a big part of the Owen family. She was such a good dog and was always there to snuggle and be your buddy when you were having a bad day. She lived 13 wonderfull years and added so much value to our family.
Things about Frisky:
- Born 06/22/1995
- Loved her 'poppie' toy
- Liked to chase her ball around the backyard
- Loved treats
- Loved belly rubs (especially from Grandma)
- Didn't like people to ring the door bell
- Loved to get in the warm clothes from the dryer (aka: toasties)
- Enjoyed going for rides in the car
- Took care of her 'sister' Pepper
- Loved chewies
- Loved taking naps with Mom
It has been a difficult week with out her. We miss her very much.

Trent & I took our first camping trip with the pop-up trailer on May 16th-18th. We decided to go to Bryce Canyon. The drive took us about 2 1/2 hrs to get to our location. We stayed at Ruby's Inn RV. It was about a half mile from the start of the Bryce Canyon park.
The trailer worked so well. We didn't have any problems.
On Saturday we decided to go to the park and take some photos. It was a very interesting place. The wind had eroded away a lot of the rock and so you are left with these 'fingers' that are just amazing.
We had such a great time and the weather was beautiful.

Easter
Easter was great this year.
Tammy, Dave & the kids came to visit family over the Easter break.
On Saturday we had a bbq at our house. After dinner we colored Easter eggs.
It was a great time. Uncle Trent was a big kick with the kids. They even got carried away with the usage for their egg dying gloves.
It was great to see them and spend Easter together.

I am now a blogger
Alright, I never thought I would be a person who'd get into this type of thing, but some of the blogs I have seen are really well done. So, I thought I take a shot at it.
I am hoping this will be a good way to keep intouch with family and friends that I don't chat with on a regular basis.
So here goes nothing.
